Who We Are:

HCAIB is owned and operated by registered nurses whose combined experience in hospital care, nursing homes, and home care provide the foundation of our organizational mission.

We have been serving the community for more than 20 years. We offer quality care and reputable service that has made us a leader in the vital field of home care.
The time to consider home health care for you or a loved one is when help is needed with some or all of the normal activities of daily living – such as bathing, assistance with elimination, assistance with administration of medication, housekeeping, cooking, shopping, laundry and other household tasks.

Ideally, home health care is – like anything else – a step that best planned for in advance as in the case of a home recovery from an elective surgery or when the caregiver in the family plans a vacation or simply needs relief. In reality, these instances are the exceptions rather than the rule. Fortunately, HCAIB has a working staff of more than 100 caregivers and is often able to fill your needs even with very short notice.

Home health care costs differ greatly depending on the individual case, but are usually much lower than the long-term care facility alternative. The cost of room and board in a nursing home per year can range from $36,000 to $60,000 and higher, depending on geographic location and care needs. Room and board in an assisted living facility may cost from $20,000 to $35,000 annually and upward. In addition to the cost of room and board in nursing homes and assisted living, facilities, care recipients also assume the cost of medication, supplies and personal care items.
The answer to this is emphatically yes! If your loved one is a candidate for home health care, the level of care is usually higher than that of a long-term care solution. That is not to say that long-term care facilities are unable to give good care, but that the care given to an individual who is in a one-to-one basis can often times be more encompassing.

Clients find that in addition to having their physical needs safely met, is also accomplished by providing such tasks as psychosocial dialogue and / or activities that allow clients to remain at home and maintain their independence, social ties, and their sense of respect, security and control.

Of course! Caring for a person who is bedridden can become a full time job. HCAIB can provide you with a caregiver when additional care is needed. We are very careful to change the patient’s position often to prevent bed sores from forming on the body’s pressure points. Stretching and moving joints will also help prevent bed sores as well as joint stiffness and aid in circulation. Changing bed lines frequently and using pillows for support will help keep bedridden people comfortable.
Depending on the situation, location and kind of caregiver you need, we will provide you with a compassionate caregiver in 24 hours.
After you sign a contract with HCAIB, should your caregiver become ill, need a vacation or time-off, the agency will immediately assist you obtaining a temporary replacement.

HCAIB guarantees that the client will never be without a caregiver. If you want a caregiver for seven days, you will always have a caregiver for seven days.

Home Care At Its Best is not accredited. However, it is a State licensed and bonded agency. It is the mission of the agency to provide you with qualified caregivers. If for any reason a client is not satisfied with a caregiver, the agency will find an adequate replacement without delay.

Absolutely! We offer assistance 24 hours a day and even seven days per week to answer your questions of just to comfort an anxious client or caregiver. Our service is caring and listening as we fulfill the needs of our clients. And while we realize that no person-to-person business is ever perfect, we will make every effort to fulfill the needs of every client and be open and welcome any and all comments, suggestions, and ideas.

Our Philosophy:

We can do more collectively to alleviate suffering than we can ever hope to do on our own.

At HCAIB, we believe:

In the innate worth of the individual regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, economic status, sexual orientation, or disability.

That a humanistic and holistic approach to home care empowers patients to achieve independence.

That to meet the diverse needs of our clients, we must attract a diverse team of caring and dedicated professionals.

That by supporting families and patients in the home, we maximize the health and wellness of our communities.

That health care is a basic human right, and should be Available, Accessible, and Affordable.

We desire to restore or maintain the maximum level of wellness to persons accepted for care by the agency. Our goal is to decrease the length of institutional stays and to prevent readmission; quality care happens in the home and thats where your loved one should be. We encourage patients/families to participate in planning their care, we advise them of their right to refuse all or part of the care, and we encourage them to be as independent as possible.
